  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup dark corn syrup
  • ¼ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecans (whole or chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup salted butter, 1 cup all-purpose flour, and ¼ cup granulated sugar.
  3. Mix until it forms a dough-like texture.
  4. Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup dark corn syrup, and ¼ cup melted salted butter until smooth.
  7. Add in the two large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and ½ teaspoon salt. Mix well to combine.
  8. Fold in the 2 cups pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the filling.
  9. Once the crust is finished baking, pour the filling over it evenly.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes or until set.
  11. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
