  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add diced onion and sauté until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Mix in marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour. Gradually add milk while cooking until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, cooked noodles, béchamel sauce, and shredded cheeses repeatedly until all ingredients are used.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
