  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season thinly sliced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden.
  3. Cook linguine according to package instructions; reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, parsley, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine cooked pasta and reserved pasta water with the sauce. Add sliced chicken and toss to combine.
