  5. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes for 10 minutes in pans before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. For the frosting, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; add vanilla extract.
