Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. For the brownie layer, melt unsalted butter and mix it with granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt) and mix until just combined.
  3. Pour brownie batter into a greased springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until set but still moist in the center. Let cool completely.
  4. For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese with sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Pour cheesecake mixture over the cooled brownie layer and bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly.
  6. For caramel sauce, melt sugar over medium heat until golden brown; whisk in butter and heavy cream followed by sea salt.
  7. Drizzle caramel over cooled cheesecake and chill for at least two hours before serving.
