Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, turning halfway through.
  3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
  4. After baking the wings for 25 minutes, remove them from the oven and brush generously with the glaze. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, glazing every five minutes.
  5. Once done, let rest for five minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
